Roughly, it's based on three key elements from my childhood; cartoons, old 1980's computer games, and nightmares. These three elements, coupled with my love for old black and white film aesthetics and electronic music, form the resulting piece.
This piece was first conceived many years ago but production started in January this year. As this is the first audiovisual piece where everything (music, animation, illustration, visual design etc) is done by me, production proved to be very time consuming indeed. Hopefully future episodes in this series will be slightly easier to produce.
The piece will be premiered at Fylkingen, Stockholm, Sweden on September 12th 2008, and will probably be included as a part of my future audiovisual live shows, alongside other audiovisual pieces in collaboration with people such as David Firth, Liam Frankland and Aron Hidman.
Eventually, "ODBOY & ERORDOG, EPISODE 1" will be made available online as digital video for streaming or download. Check the current activities section for news on this, and for future live dates.
