CV/Biography.



Education
1998 - 2001 Bachelor of Arts in Composition. Full time composition and orchestration studies at the School of Music in Piteå, Sweden. Composition studies for Jan Sandström, Jan Ferm and Bent Sørensen, orchestration studies for Hans Hjortek. Has written a published academic essay, Det Plastiska Komponerandet (Plastic Composition), on the subject of composing for the medium of the phonogram.

2002 - 2005 Postgraduate diploma in composition (Master of Fine Arts). Additional masterclasses and individual lessons with mentors such as Bernd Franke, Brian Ferneyhough, Anders Nilsson, Thomas Reiner and Matthew Burtner.


Professional experience
Several compositions for concert, album, film and installation work. Orchestration jobs for Norrbottens Kammaropera (the Norrbotten Chamber Opera) and Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker (the Östgöta Symphonic Wind Orchestra). Additional score editing and part copying jobs.


Background
Born in Luleå, Sweden, in 1979. Piano studies since the age of nine, started composing at the age of eleven in the electronic medium. Continued piano studies in music high school from age fifteen to eighteen, while developing a passionate interest in electronic music, orchestral music and art-house cinema.
