About Kafkagarden.com
This is the official site for Swedish composer Marcus Fjellström and his music publishing/production label Kafkagården. At this moment the site serves mostly as an introduction to the composer and his music, with contact information, CV/Biography and an extensive collection of MP3 excerpts from his body of musical works. Eventually the site might expand to include full works in MP3 format as well as downloadable sheet music for performance.
The site was designed by Marcus Fjellström. Some of the tricky HTML coding was done by Aron Hidman (thanks, Aron).

About the composer and his music
Partially academically trained in classical composition and partially self-taught in electronic music and sound design, Marcus Fjellström combines the concepts and aesthetics of such diverse musical styles as twentieth-century art music, nineteenth-century orchestral/chamber music and avant-garde electronica as the basis for his musical language. A hard one to pin down as far as genres are concerned, his music is always pursuing the alien and unexpected. His music was widely introduced to the world with his two releases on Lampse Audiovisual Recordings, "Exercises in Estrangement" (2005) and "Gebrauchsmusik" (2006), but his music can also be heard in classical concert halls around the world, having collaborated with organizations such as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Swedish Royal Ballet. His love for cinema and visual arts has recently led him to extensive experiments with audiovisual works, either by himself or with collaborators, such as video artist Bernd Behr and animator David Firth of "Salad Fingers" fame.
